Leo van der Hoef is a Dutch filmmaker who studied product design & marketing at the Technical University in Delft, graduated at Apple, Inc. in the USA and worked for 5 years at high-tech companies in the Bay Area in marketing, where he joined several classes at the Motion Pictures & Video department of the Academy of Art University of San Francisco.
Back in the Netherlands, Leo worked several years for a small company named InfoPinnacle making recruitment films for universities, corporations and hospitals. He then spent over 10 years working as a freelance director and editor mainly doing corporate promos and recruitment films, but also fiction, documentaries and projects in entertainment, health care and education.
With this extensive background in marketing and filmmaking, Leo quickly understands what a motion picture needs to communicate, and how it should be made.
He guides clients from ideas to script and then builds and delivers compelling and effective films that ignite the right mood, and get the message across.
